Privacy Policy — WinSignal
Last updated: 14 August 2026
1. Who we are
WinSignal (winsignal.uk) is a service of Innovate Transform Sustain Ltd ("ITS Ltd", "we", "us"), registered in England & Wales, company no. 13978774, part of the ITS AI Network. This policy explains what personal information we hold, why we hold it, and the choices you have. WinSignal is a business-to-business service: the personal information we work with is almost entirely business contact information belonging to people at recruitment agencies and related organisations.
Questions about this policy or your information: customer@winsignal.uk.
2. What we collect and where it comes from
We hold business contact details — name, job title, work email address, work phone number, company name and website — obtained from public sources such as company websites, Companies House records and professional directories, or from lists compiled for business development. We also hold whatever you choose to give us directly, for example when you reply to an email, make an enquiry, or become a customer.
The contract award information at the heart of WinSignal concerns organisations, not individuals. It is drawn from public UK contract award notices and contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
3. How we use it and our lawful bases
We use business contact information to introduce WinSignal to people whose role makes it relevant, by email and telephone. We rely on legitimate interests for this business-to-business outreach, and we keep it proportionate: we contact people sparingly, we stop permanently when asked, and we screen calls against the TPS and CTPS registers.
Our outreach email is sent from ian@winsignal.uk, and replies reach us there.
For customers, we use account and contact information to provide the service, under our contract with you. Service emails about your account — sign-in links, billing, service changes — are sent on that basis.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Email measurement and personalised links
Our outreach emails are deliberately lightly instrumented. First approaches carry no tracking pixel. We record that a message was sent and delivered, and we classify automated activity (such as corporate mail scanners) separately from human activity so that we do not mistake machines for interest.
Some emails contain a personalised briefing link. Because that link is unique to the message we sent you, opening it tells us it was your link that was used, and we record the visit — time, network address and browser type — to understand interest and to avoid contacting people who are not interested.
If you ask us for a recurring briefing, we record when and how you accepted and which message the request came from, as evidence of your consent. You can stop a briefing at any time with one click, or by replying.
5. Opting out and suppression
Every marketing email we send tells you how to stop more: reply "no thanks" or use the unsubscribe link. When you opt out we add your address to a permanent suppression list — we keep the minimum needed (the address itself) precisely so that we can make sure we never contact you again, on any list, indefinitely. If you tell us on a call that you are not interested, the same applies to your number.
6. Sharing and retention
We use a small number of service providers to run WinSignal — hosting, database and email delivery — who process information only on our instructions and under contract. We do not share personal information with anyone else except where the law requires it.
We keep outreach contact information while it remains relevant and remove it when we learn it is out of date or when you object. Suppression records are kept indefinitely, because that is what makes an opt-out permanent. Customer account information is kept for the life of the account and for the periods the law requires afterwards.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to our using it (including for direct marketing, where we will always stop), and ask us to restrict or transfer it. Write to customer@winsignal.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
